European Standards for Compliant Flights
The DJI AP100 Parachute enables the Matrice 400 to meet EASA C5/C6 and CAA UK5/UK6 operational safety requirements. It helps operators comply with European Standard Scenarios, including STS-01 flights over populated areas and STS-02 Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) missions, simplifying regulatory compliance for professional drone operations.
Safety Self-Check, Dual Redundant System
From the moment Matrice 400 powers on and throughout the entire flight, the parachute continuously monitors the status of the gas generator and communication links. If an anomaly occurs, real-time alerts are displayed via the Health Management System (HMS) in the DJI Pilot 2, ensuring safe operation.
Fast Deployment, Reduced Impact
In an emergency, the parachute can deploy automatically or manually in less than 600 milliseconds. The integrated Flight Termination System stops the motors before deployment, allowing the parachute to stabilize the aircraft’s descent to less than 5 m/s and helping minimize damage to the drone, payload, and people or property below.
Lightweight, Fits Drone Case
Weighing approximately 935 g, the AP100 has minimal impact on flight performance while preserving the Matrice 400’s maximum takeoff weight. Its rear-mounted design allows the drone to fit directly into its standard carrying case without removing the parachute, reducing setup time and improving operational efficiency.
IP55 Rating
With an IP55 protection rating, the AP100 is designed to operate reliably in demanding outdoor environments, including rain and dusty conditions. It also delivers stable performance across temperatures from -20°C to 50°C, making it suitable for year-round professional operations.
